A prognosis may be man’s prediction, but God’s Word is truth.
Time and again, we see in scripture how God defies human expectations. Whose report will you believe?
"But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds," declares the Lord. (Jeremiah 30:17)
Abraham and Sarah had a child when it was “impossible.” (Genesis 18:14)
Lazarus was raised after being dead four days.
(John 11:43-44)
The woman with the issue of blood was healed after
12 years of suffering. (Mark 5:25-34)
If God did it before, He can do it again for you.
In 2015, John Smith, a 14-year-old boy from Missouri, fell through the ice on a frozen lake. He was submerged underwater for
15 minutes before rescuers pulled him out.
By the time he was transported to the hospital, he had been without a pulse for 45 minutes. Doctors declared him dead, and the hospital prepared to call the time of death.
But John’s mother, Joyce Smith, refused to accept the prognosis. She walked into the hospital room and did the only thing she knew to do. She prayed.
"Holy Spirit, please bring my son back to life!" she cried out.
At that very moment, John’s pulse returned. The doctors were in shock. Though his organs had been deprived of oxygen for over an hour, he miraculously showed no signs of brain damage.
John not only survived but made a full recovery. A medical impossibility! His story became the inspiration for the movie "Breakthrough" and was documented in the book "The Impossible" by Joyce Smith.
Doctors had given a grim prognosis, but God had the final say.
Fear paralyzes, but faith moves mountains. (Mark 11:23) When anxiety creeps in, declare:
"God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind." (2 Timothy 1:7)
"I am more than a conqueror through Christ." (Romans 8:37)
What we focus on grows. If we focus on the what-ifs of fear, we become paralyzed. But when we focus on God’s promises, we find strength to move forward.
Your words carry power. (Proverbs 18:21) Instead of saying, “I’m doomed,” declare:
"I am more than a conqueror through Christ." (Romans 8:37)
"By His stripes, I am healed." (Isaiah 53:5)
John Smith’s mother spoke life over her son. The moment she called on God, life returned where there was none. What words are you speaking over your situation?
The Bible tells us, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God… and it will be given to him.” (James 1:5) Whether you’re facing medical decisions, emotional distress, or spiritual battles, seek God’s guidance.
Pray before making any decisions.
Surround yourself with faith-filled people.
Seek medical, holistic, and spiritual counsel.
If God did it before, He can do it again for you.
Doctors may give facts, but God has the final authority. No prognosis is stronger than His power.
"I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord." (Psalm 118:17)
You have a choice—will you believe the diagnosis, or will you trust in the Great Physician?
